Director Hamilton called the meeting to order at 1:01 p.m.

    1. Give three readings to the proposed closure of 0.05 hectares ± (0.12 acres ±) of road (Plan 2211643, Area A), adjacent to 4508 – 6 Street NE and 716 – 41 Avenue NE, with conditions (Attachment 2); and
    2. Give three readings to the proposed bylaw for the redesignation of 0.21 hectares ± (0.52 acres ±) located at 4508 – 6 Street NE and the closed road (Plan 453AD, Block 1, Lots 7 and 8; Plan 2211643, Area A) from Industrial – General (I-G) District and Undesignated Road Right-of-Way to Direct Control (DC) District to accommodate the additional use of Vehicle Sales - Major, with guidelines (Attachment 3).

    That the Calgary Planning Commission recommend that Council give three readings to the proposed bylaw for the redesignation of 0.07 hectares ± (0.17 acres ±) located at 3119 – 12 Avenue SW (Plan 8033FW, Lot 1) from Residential – Contextual One / Two Dwelling (R-C2) District to Housing – Grade Oriented (H-GO) District.

A clerical correction was noted on page 3 of attachment 1 of Report CPC2023-0263, in the second paragraph, under the heading "Land Use", in the last sentence, by deleting the words "per hectare" following the words "maximum density of 37 units".​

A presentation entitled "LOC2022-0042 Land Use Amendment" was distributed with respect to Report CPC2023-0263.

Barry Sullivan, Kumlin Sullivan Architecture Studio, addressed Commission with respect to Report CPC2023-0263.

    That the Calgary Planning Commission recommend that Council:

    1. Adopt, by resolution, the proposed amendment to the Patterson Heights (Strathcona Cell “A”) Concept Plan (Attachment 2); and
    2. Give three readings to the proposed bylaw for the redesignation of 1.24 hectares ± (3.0 acres ±) located at 1186 Prominence Way SW (Plan 2038GH, a portion of Block O) from Special Purpose – Future Urban Development (S-FUD) District to Multi-Residential – Contextual Grade-Oriented (M-CGd30) District.

    And further, that pursuant to Section 6(1) of Procedure Bylaw 35M2017, Calgary Planning Commission suspend Section 78(2)(b) to forego the afternoon recess to complete the Agenda.
