CONFIRM MINUTES, Moved by Councillor Demong, that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Legislative Governance Task Force, held on 2015 December 01, be confirmed.

IN CAMERA, Moved by Councillor Keating, that in accordance with Section 197(2) of the Municipal Government Act and Sections 24 1 (of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Legislative Governance Task Force move in camera, at 1:03 p.m., in order to consider a confidential matter with respect to Verbal Report LGT2016-0029.

The Legislative Governance Task Force moved into public session at 1:43 p.m. with Councillor Jones in the Chair.

LEGISLATIVE GOVERNANCE REVIEW PROJECT - VERBAL UPDATE, LGT2016-0029

DISTRIBUTION

At the request of Administration, and with the concurrence of the Vice-Chair, the City Clerk distributed copies, In Camera, of a PowerPoint presentation entitled, “Legislative Governance Review Project Update and Discussion”, with respect to Report LGT2016-0029, which shall remain confidential pursuant to Section 24 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

AMENDMENT, Moved by Councillor Colley-Urquhart, that with respect to Verbal Report LGT2016-0029, the Recommendations be amended by adding a new Recommendation, as follows:

“2.     Direct Administration to report to the 2016 February 02 Meeting of the Legislative Governance Task Force with an engagement strategy to support the Legislative Governance Review Project.”

APPROVE, AS AMENDED, Moved by Councillor Chabot, that with respect to Report LGT2016-0029, the following be approved, as amended:

That the Legislative Governance Task Force:

1.    Receive the Report, Legislative Governance Review Project – Verbal Update, for information

2.    Direct Administration to report to the 2016 February 02 Meeting of the Legislative Governance Task Force with an engagement strategy to support the Legislative Governance Review Project; and

3.    Direct that the In Camera discussions remain confidential pursuant to Sections 24 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
