ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIR

Following nomination procedures, Mr. Bezanson was elected Vice-Chair of the Council Compensation Review Committee, by acclamation.

CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA

CONFIRM AGENDA, Moved by Mr. Bowal, that the Agenda for the 2017 March 24 Regular Meeting of the Council Compensation Review Committee be confirmed.

CONFIRM MINUTES, Moved by Mr. Caswell, that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Council Compensation Review Committee, held on 2017 March 10, be confirmed.

REPORT TO COUNCIL PREPARATION, CCRC2017-0330

APPROVE, Moved by Mrs. Page, that with respect to Report CCRC2017-0330, the following be approved:

That the Council Compensation Review Committee receive the Report to Council Preparation – Verbal Report for information.

IN CAMERA, Moved by Mr. Bezanson, that in accordance with Section 197 of the Municipal Government Act, and Sections 19(1), 24(1)(a) and 24(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Council Compensation Review Committee move In Camera, at 1:37 p.m., in order to consider confidential matters with respect to Report CCRC2017-0331.

RECESS, IN CAMERA, Moved by Mr. Caswell, that the Council Compensation Review Committee now recess at 1:39 p.m. to reconvene, In Camera, at 1:44 p.m. in order to resolve technical difficulties with respect to Conference Call technology.

Council Compensation Review Committee reconvened, In Camera, at 1:44 p.m. with        Mrs. Son in the Chair.

The Council Compensation Review Committee moved into public session at 3:47 p.m. with Mrs. Son in the Chair.

RISE AND REPORT, Moved by Mr. Bowal, that the Council Compensation Review Committee rise and report.

CONSULTANT DRAFT REPORT (VERBAL), CCRC2017-0331

RECEIVE FOR THE CORPORATE RECORD

With the concurrence of The Chair, the Acting City Clerk received a document, In Camera, which is to remain confidential pursuant to Sections 19(1), 24(1)(a) and 24(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, with respect to Verbal Report, CCRC2017-0331.

APPROVE, Moved by Mr. Caswell, that with respect to Report CCRC2017-0331, the following be approved:

That the Council Compensation Review Committee:

1.    Receive the Consultant Draft Report – Verbal Report for information;

2.    Direct the Consultant to conduct additional research, as discussed In Camera, and amend the draft report accordingly; and

3.    Direct that the Verbal Report, the Document Received In Camera and In Camera discussions remain confidential pursuant to Sections 19(1), 24(1)(a) and 24(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
