2017 PROVINCIAL BUDGET SUBMISSION, IGA2016-0911

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Pootmans, that the Administration Recommendations contained in Report IGA2016-0911, be approved as follows:

That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee approves the approach to The City of Calgary’s advocacy efforts around the 2017 provincial budget as outlined in the report.

DISTRIBUTION

At the request of Administration and with the concurrence of the Chair, the Legislative Assistant distributed copies of a PowerPoint presentation titled, “Modernized Municipal Government Act (MMGA) Review – Bill 21 Update”, dated 2016 December 02, with respect to Report IGA2016-0925.

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Stevenson, that with respect to Report IGA2016-0925, the following be approved:  

That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee:

1.    Direct that this report remain confidential pursuant to Sections 24(1)(a) and (b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act; and

2.    Direct that Attachments 1 and 2 be withheld pursuant to Sections 21(1)(a)(ii) and 24(1)(a) and (b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act until the MMGA Review and City Charter processes have been finalized.
