APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Pootmans, that the Administration Recommendation contained in Report TT2017-0561 be approved, as follows:

 

That the SPC on Transportation and Transit receives this report for information.

CALGARY TRANSIT PARK AND RIDE REVIEW - UPDATE, TT2017-0547

 

 

DECLARATION OF INTEREST

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Chabot, that the Administration Recommendations contained in Report TT2017-0547 be approved, as follows:

 

That the SPC on Transportation and Transit recommends that Council direct Administration to:

 

1.   Use the strategy outlined in Attachment 2 of this report to evaluate and set park and ride

      plans with future Transit Oriented Development (TOD) applications with the goal of

      accommodating approximately 15 percent of weekday peak period transit trips and

      enabling TOD opportunities.

 

2.   Maintain a single fee structure for all reserved parking customers and continue to

monitor monthly reserved parking demand at Park and Ride lots. Additional reserved

parking fees for out-of-town customers should be revisited when demand for reserved

parking is higher and considering the priorities of the Growth Management Board.

GREEN LINE LRT ALIGNMENT AND STATIONS:160 AVENUE N TO SETON, TT2017-0534

 

CLERICAL CORRECTIONS

 

At the request of the Administration, clerical corrections were noted in Attachment 3, of Report TT2017-0534, by deleting all the incorrect street numbers on Pages 24 – 33, and by substituting the correct street numbers accordingly, and further, by deleting the current Station names and by substituting the following names on:

 

  • Page 24 - to “28 Avenue N Station”;
  • Page 26 - to “40 Avenue N Station”;
  • Page 28 - to “McKnight Boulevard N Station”;
  • Page 30 - to “McKnight Boulevard N Station”; and
  • Page 32 - to “Beddington Boulevard N Station”.

CHANGE TIME OF SCHEDULED RECESS, Moved by Councillor Carra, that pursuant to Section 91(3) of the Procedure Bylaw 44M2006, as amended, the scheduled time of recess be changed in order to complete Item 3.3, Report TT2017-0534.

Councillor Keating left the Chair at 3:26 p.m. and Councillor Woolley assumed the Chair.

 

 

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Carra, that the Administration Recommendations contained in Report TT2017-0534 be approved, as follows:

 

That the SPC on Transportation and Transit recommends that Council:

 

1.   Approve the recommended alignment and station locations for the Green Line Light Rail

      Transit (LRT) long-term vision from 160 Avenue N to Seton as per Attachment 1 and        corrected Attachment 3;

 

2.   Approve the recommended Green Line Urban Integration (GLUI) for the full Green Line

      LRT from 160 Avenue N to Seton as per Attachment 2;

 

3.   Direct Administration to report back no later than Q1 2018 with a Stage 1: 16 Avenue N

      to 126 Avenue SE project update including a recommended contracting strategy and

      future staging approach; and

 

4.   Direct Administration to bring this report forward to the 2017 June 26 Regular Meeting of

      Council along with the associated reports from the SPC on Community and Protective

      Services (CPS2017-0469) and the SPC on Planning and Urban Development

(PUD2017-0471).
