IN CAMERA, Moved by Councillor Stevenson, that in accordance with Section 197 of the Municipal Government Act and Sections 23(1)(b), 24(1)(a),(b) and (c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee move in camera, at 9:48 a.m., in order to consider confidential matters with respect to Reports IGA2016-0375 and IGA2016-0379.

DISTRIBUTION

At the request of Administration and with the concurrence of the Acting Chair, the Legislative Assistant distributed, In Camera, copies of a PowerPoint presentation entitled, “Intermunicipal Mediation Update”, dated 2016 May 05, with respect to Report IGA2016-0375 which is to remain confidential pursuant to Sections 23(1)(b) and 24(1)(a) and (c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, until the matter is decided upon by Council.

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Stevenson, that with respect to the Verbal Report

IGA2016-0375, the following be approved:

That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee:

1.   Receive the Intermunicipal Mediation Update - Verbal Report, for information; and

2.   Approve Administration Recommendation 2 contained in the PowerPoint presentation entitled, “Intermunicipal Mediation Update”; and

3.   Keep the Verbal Report, distribution and In Camera discussions confidential pursuant to Sections 23(1)(b) and 24(1)(a) and (c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act until the matter is decided upon by Council.

CITY CHARTER UPDATE, IGA2016-0379

DISTRIBUTION

At the request of Administration and with the concurrence of the Acting Chair, the Legislative Assistant distributed the following documents, In Camera, with respect to Report

IGA2016-0379 which are to remain confidential pursuant to Sections 23(1)(b) and 24(1)(a) and (b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, until the matter is resolved:

• a PowerPoint presentation entitled, “City Charter Update”, dated 2016 May 5
• a document entitled, “City Charter – Key Messages (May 2016).

Councillor Jones left the Chair at 11:27 a.m. and Councillor Demong assumed the Chair.

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Carra, that with respect to the Report IGA2016-0379, the following be approved:

That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee recommend that Council:

1.   Approve the Administration Recommendations contained in Report IGA2016-0379; and

2.   Keep the Report, distributions and In Camera discussions confidential pursuant to Sections 23(1)(b) and 24(1)(a) and (b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, until the matter is resolved.
