RECESS AND RECONVENE IN CAMERA, Moved by Mrs. Son, that, in accordance with Section 197 of the Municipal Government Act, and Sections 24(1)(a) and (b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Council Compensation Review Committee now recess at 9:46 a.m., to reconvene In Camera, at 9:56 a.m. to consider several confidential matters.

At the request of Administration and with the concurrence of the Chair, the Legislative Assistant distributed copies of a document, entitled “Request for Proposals for Council Compensation Review”, dated 2016 December 12, which is to remain confidential pursuant to Sections 24(1)(a) and (b) of the Freedom of Information and with Protection of Privacy Act, with respect to Report CCRC2016-0945.

APPROVE, Moved by Mrs. Page, that with respect to Report CCRC2016-0945, the following be approved, after amendment:

That Council Compensation Review Committee:

1.    Receive the Request for Proposal Review and Approval – Verbal Report, and distribution for information;

2.    Approve the Request for Proposal Process, after amendment, as discussed during the In Camera session, contained in the amended Confidential Distribution;

3.    Direct Administration to explore public consultation using The City of Calgary’s Website as a portal for feedback and research;

4.    Begin to review the consultation process with City of Calgary Council Members; and

2.   Direct that the Verbal Report, Distribution and In Camera discussions, remain confidential pursuant to Sections 24(1)(a) and (b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
