CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA

                                         

AMENDMENT, Moved by Councillor Magliocca, that the Agenda for today’s Meeting be amended by adding the following items of Urgent Business, In Camera:

·        Update on British Columbia’s Site C Dam Project (Verbal), VR2016-0021

MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE GAS, POWER AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE, 2016 MARCH 10

 

CONFIRM MINUTES, Moved by Councillor Magliocca, that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Gas, Power and Telecommunications Committee held on 2016 March 10, be confirmed.

URGENT BUSINESS

 

No items of Urgent Business were added to today’s Meeting.  

 

 

 

IN CAMERA, Moved by Councillor Chu, that in accordance with Section 197(2) of the Municipal Government Act and Section 24(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Gas, Power and Telecommunications Committee move in camera, at 9:32 a.m., in order to consider several confidential matters.

The Gas, Power and Telecommunications Committee moved into public session at 10:28 a.m. with Councillor Chabot in the Chair.

 

RISE AND REPORT, Moved by Councillor Chu, that the Gas, Power and Telecommunications Committee rise and report.

4.1

STATUS OF OUTSTANDING MOTIONS AND DIRECTIONS, GP2016-0273

 

APPROVE, Moved by  Councillor Magliocca, that the Administration Recommendations contained in Report GP2016-0273 be approved, as follows:

 

That the Gas, Power and Telecommunications Committee:

 

1.    Receive this report for information; and

 

2.   Direct that the attachment remain confidential under Section 24(1)(b) of the Freedom of

      Information and Protection of Privacy Act, until the motions and directions listed have been completed.

4.2

INDUSTRY UPDATE ON ELECTRICITY, NATURAL GAS, AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS, GP2016-0287

 

APPROVE, Moved by  Councillor Chu, that the Administration Recommendations contained in Report GP2016-0287 be approved, as follows:

 

That the Gas, Power and Telecommunications Committee:

 

1.  Receive this report for information; and

 

2.    Direct that this report and the attachment remain confidential under Section 24(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act until three years after the proceedings are completed.

URGENT BUSINESS IN CAMERA

 

5.1

TRANSMISSION REINFORCEMENT (VERBAL), VR2016-0020

 

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Magliocca, that with respect to Report VR2016-0020, the following be approved:

 

That the Gas, Power and Telecommunications Committee:

 

1.    Receive Verbal Report VR2016-0020 for information;

 

2.    Direct Administration to provide a Verbal Update on Transmission Reinforcement,          In Camera, to Council; and

 

3.    Direct that the In Camera discussions remain confidential pursuant to Section 24(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, until 2021 March 01, or until this issue has been resolved.

5.2

UPDATE ON BRITISH COLUMBIA’S SITE C DAM PROJECT(VERBAL),    VR2016-0021

 

DISTRIBUTION

 

At the request of Administration and with the concurrence of the Chair, the Legislative Assistant distributed copies of a document which is to remain confidential pursuant to Section 24(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information and with Protection of Privacy Act, with respect to Verbal Report VR2016-0021.

 

 

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Chu, that with respect to Report VR2016-0021, the following be approved:

 

That the Gas, Power and Telecommunications Committee:

 

1.    Receive Verbal Report VR2016-0021 for information; and

 

2.    Direct that the In Camera discussions and distribution remain confidential pursuant to Section 24(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
