CALL TO ORDER

Councillor Carra called the Meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.

CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA

• Moved by Councillor Gondek

  That the Agenda for today's Meeting be amended by adding an item of Confidential Urgent Business entitled "Calgary Metropolitan Region Board (CMRB) Personnel Matter (Verbal)", VR2018-0085.

  That the Agenda for the 2018 October 18 Regular Meeting of the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee be confirmed, as amended.

Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) (Verbal), IGA2018-1188

A document entitled "Report to Council from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities FCM", dated 2018, September 11-14.

  That Item 6.2, Report IGA2018-1188, be postponed to be dealt with during the Closed Meeting portion of today's Meeting.

  That with respect to Verbal Report IGA2018-1188, the following be approved:

  That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee:
  1. Receive this Verbal Report for information;

  2. Direct the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee to endorse, in principle, the City exploring intervening in the current Toronto court case, either singly, in partnership with Edmonton and/or Big City Mayor’s Caucus, and Federation of Canadian Municipalities; and

  
  3. Direct that the closed meeting discussions remain confidential pursuant to Sections 23, 24, and 25 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
