Mayor Nenshi called the Meeting to order at 9:32 a.m.

COVID-19 Community Affordable Housing Advocacy Plan, IGA2020-0807

A presentation entitled "COVID-19 Community Affordable Housing Advocacy Plan", dated 2020 July 23 electronically displayed and distributed with respect to Report IGA2020-0807.

A document entitled "Attachment 3-COVID-19 Affordable Housing Advocacy Plan Letters-IGA2020-0807" was electronically distributed with respect to Report IGA2020-0807.

  That with respect to Report IGA2020-0807, the following be approved:

  That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee:

  1. Endorse the COVID-19 Community Affordable Housing Advocacy Plan including: Administration’s report, attachments, and presentation; and
  2. Request Mayor and Council make a submission to federal and provincial elected officials based on Attachment 1.

Proposed City of Calgary submission on the Alberta Infrastructure Act and 20-Year Strategic Capital Plan, IGA2020-0836

A presentation entitled "Submission to GoA on the Alberta Infrastructure Act and 20-Year Strategic Capital Plan," dated 2020 July 23 was electronically displayed and distributed with respect to Report IGA2020-0836.

  That with respect to Report IGA2020-0836, the following be approved:

  That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee forward this Report as an item of Urgent Business to the 2020 July 27 Combined Meeting of Council, for approval of The City of Calgary’s submission to the Government of Alberta’s Infrastructure Planning Engagement as set out in Attachment 1.

  That with respect to Report IGA2020-0640 the following be approved:

  That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee forward this item and the Confidential Presentation as Confidential Urgent Business to the 2020 July 27 Combined Meeting of Council.

  And recommend the following be approved:

  That Council:

  1. Adopt recommendation 1 as contained in the Confidential Presentation; and
  2. Direct that this report, Attachments 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10, presentation and discussion remain confidential pursuant to sections 16 (disclosure harmful to the business interests of a third party), 21 (disclosure harmful to intergovernmental relations), 24 (advice from officials), and 25 (disclosure harmful to economic and other interests of a public body) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, to be reviewed by 2020 December 31.
