CALL TO ORDER

Councillor Carra called the Meeting to order at 9:44 a.m.

OPENING REMARKS

Councillor Carra welcomed Andrew Brouwer, Deputy City Clerk, Elections and Census, and Anna de Grood, Legislative Advisor, to their first Meeting of the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee.

A presentation entitled "2019 Alberta Urban Municipalities Association "AUMA" Fall Convention Preview', dated 2019 September 19, was distributed with respect to Report IGA2019-1176.

Mayor Nenshi assumed the Chair at 9:52 a.m. and Councillor Carra returned to his seat on Committee.

A presentation entitled "Calgary and Chestermere - Update on Regional Transit Discussions", dated 2019 September 19, was distributed with respect to Report IGA2019-1194.

  That with respect to Verbal Report IGA2019-1194, the following be approved:

  That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee direct Administration to continue discussions with Chestermere Administration exploring the possibility of transit service between Calgary and Chestermere and report to the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee with an update on discussions by Q2 2020.

ADJOURNMENT

Mayor Nenshi, on behalf of the members of the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee and other Members of Council, announced that Libbey McDougall, Legislative Advisor, today attended and clerked her final Council Committee Meeting. Ms. McDougall has accepted the role of Municipal Clerk with the Town of Banff. Mayor Nenshi thanked Ms. McDougall for her dedication and service to The City of Calgary.
