ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR.

Following nomination procedures, Councillor Carra was elected Chair of the Selection Committee for Leadership of the Subdivision Development Appeal Board (SDAB), by acclamation.

Following nomination procedures, Councillor Woolley was elected Vice-Chair of the Selection Committee for Leadership of the Subdivision Development Appeal Board (SDAB), by acclamation.

CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA

CONFIRM AGENDA, Moved by Councillor Woolley, that the Agenda for the 2016 April 20 Regular Meeting of the Selection Committee for Leadership of the Subdivision Development Appeal Board (SDAB) be confirmed.

No items of Urgent Business were added to today’s Agenda.

IN CAMERA, Moved by Councillor Woolley, that in accordance with Section 197(2) of the Municipal Government Act and Sections 17(1) and 17(4)(d) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Selection Committee for Leadership of the Subdivision Development Appeal Board (SDAB) move in camera, at 8:04 a.m., in order to consider several confidential matters.

The Selection Committee for Leadership of the Subdivision Development Appeal Board (SDAB) moved into public session at 9:19 a.m. with Councillor Carra in the Chair.

ASSIGNMENT ACTIVITIES AND MARKET FEEDBACK, SCS2016-0361

DISTRIBUTION

With the concurrence of the Chair, the City Clerk distributed copies of confidential Report SCS2016-0361, which is to remain confidential pursuant to Sections 17(1) and 17(4)(d) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Woolley, that the Administration Recommendations contained in Report SC2016-0361, be approved, as follows

That the Selection Committee for Leadership of the Subdivision Development Appeal Board (SDAB):

1.    Receive the AltoPartners report in Attachment 1, and a related verbal report for information; and

2.   Direct that this Report, Attachment1, Assignment Activities and Market Feedback, and the content of the Committee’s discussion remain confidential pursuant to Sections 17(1), 17(4)(d) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

REVIEW PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES, SCS2016-0362

DISTRIBUTION

With the concurrence of the Chair, the City Clerk distributed copies of confidential Report SCS2016-0362, which is to remain confidential pursuant to Sections 17(1) and 17(4)(d) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Woolley, that the Administration Recommendations contained in Report SC2016-0361, be approved, after amendment, as follows:

That the Selection Committee for Leadership of the Subdivision Development Appeal Board (SDAB):

1.    Receive the AltoPartners report in Attachment 1, and a related verbal report for information; and

2.    Establish a Working Group comprised of the members of the Committee to conduct interviews with the short-listed candidates and report back to Committee so that it can finalize its recommendations to Council; and

3.   Direct that this Report, Attachment1, and the content of the Committee’s discussion remain confidential pursuant to Sections 17(1), 17(4)(d) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

NEXT STEPS AND TIMETABLE (VERBAL), SCS2016-0363

APPROVE, Moved by Councillor Chabot, that with respect to Report SCS2016-0363, the following be approved:

That the Working Group convene as soon as possible to interview the short-listed candidates, and further that the results of the interviews be provided to a future meeting of the Selection Committee for Leadership of the Subdivision Development Appeal Board (SDAB) for approval and Recommendation to City Council.
