Councillor Keating called the Meeting to order at 1:01 p.m.

7.1

Southland Station Pedestrian Connectivity, TT2019-0235

  Moved by Councillor Farkas

  That with respect to Report TT2019-0235, the following be approved:

  That the SPC on Transportation and Transit recommend that Council direct administration to include a recommended plan for Southland Station pedestrian connectivity as part of the Kingsland Area Redevelopment Plan.

7.2

Interim Alternative Uses of Blue Line and Green Line LRT Rights-of-Way, TT2019-0204

A clerical correction was noted on page 2 of 7 of the Cover Report, Previous Council Direction/Policy paragraph, first sentence, by deleting the year "2017" following the words "NM2018-0689 (" and substituting with the year "2018".

Pursuant to section 6 (1) of the procedure bylaw, Committee, by general consent, suspended section 77(c) and 109 of the Procedure Bylaw, as amended, to allow Members additional time for questions of clarification and debate.

  That the SPC on Transportation & Transit recommends that Council, after amendment:

  1. Direct Administration to include appropriate rapid transit expansion projects (per Attachment 1) for analysis in the upcoming RouteAhead Project Prioritization Report in Q3 of 2019;
  2. Direct Administration to engage partners in potential pilot projects to test interim non-transportation uses of future transit rights-of-way and report back with findings no later than Q2 2021; and
  3. Direct Administration to return to the 2019 April 08 Combined Meeting of Council with a supplemental report that includes additional examples of potential sites.

Green Line Q1 2019 Update - TT2019-0245

The following documents were distributed with respect to Report TT2019-0245:

• A revised Attachment 1;
• A revised page 4 of 4 of Attachment 4;
• A presentation entitled "Green Line Update. March 20, 2019"; and
• A letter from the Chinatown District BIA, dated 2019 March 20.

Pursuant to section 6(1) of the Procedure Bylaw, as amended, section 78(b) was suspended in order for Committee to complete the remainder of today's Agenda.
