CALL TO ORDER

Councillor Chabot called the Meeting to order at 9:31 a.m.

A document entitled "2022 May City of Chestermere / City of Calgary Intermunicipal Committee (Verbal)" was distributed with respect to Verbal Report IGA2022-0738.

  That with respect to Verbal Report IGA2022-0738, the following be approved:

  That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee receive the distribution entitled "2022 May City of Chestermere / City of Calgary Intermunicipal Committee (Verbal) - IGA2022-0738" for the Corporate Record.

Code of Conduct Consultation, IGA2022-0767

Councillor Sharp (Remote Member) joined the meeting at 9:39 a.m.

A presentation entitled "Code of Conduct Consultation" was distributed with respect to Report IGA2022-0767. 

Councillor Wong (Remote Member) left the meeting at 10:14 a.m.

By General Consent, this Item was postponed to the Call of the Chair.

This item was dealt with following Item 7.4.

• Moved by Mayor Gondek

  That with respect to Report IGA2022-0767, the following be approved:

  That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee recommends that Council:

  1. Direct Administration to work with the Office of the Mayor to prepare summary notes from the discussion at the 2022 June 15 Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, to be used as the foundation of a formal submission to the Code of Conduct consultation on behalf of Council, based on the discussion at the 2022 June 15 Intergovernmental Affairs Committee; and
  2. Review any available summary notes at the 2022 July 5 Combined Meeting of Council

  Following nomination procedures, Councillor Walcott was elected Acting Vice-Chair of the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, by acclamation.

Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA) Consultation, IGA2022-0730

A presentation entitled "Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA) Consultation" was distributed with respect to Report IGA2022-0730.

• Moved by Mayor Gondek

  That with respect to Report IGA2022-0730, the following be approved:

  That the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee recommends that Council:

  1. Direct Administration to work with the Office of the Mayor to prepare summary notes from the discussion at the 2022 June 15 Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, to be used as the foundation of a formal submission to the Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA) consultation on behalf of Council, based on the discussion at the 2022 June 15 Intergovernmental Affairs Committee; and
  2. Review any available summary notes at the 2022 July 5 Combined Meeting of Council.

Foothills County – City of Calgary Annexation Negotiation Committee Appointments, IGA2022-0625.

  MOTION CARRIED

  Councillor Sharp (Remote Member) left the meeting at 11:33 a.m.

Direct that this Report, presentation and the Closed Meeting discussions remain confidential pursuant Section 17 (Personal information) and Section 21 (Disclosure harmful to intergovernmental relations) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, to be reviewed by 2032 June 15.
