Councillor Sharp called the Meeting to order at 9:39 a.m.

    That pursuant to Sections 16 (Disclosure harmful to business interests of a third party), 24 (Advice from officials), 25 (Disclosure harmful to economic and other interests of a public body) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Committee now move into Closed Meeting, at 9:47 a.m. to discuss confidential matters with respect to Item 7.1 Event Centre Update, ECC2022-0900.

    And further, that External Consultants John Fisher, Guy Huntingford, Phil Swift, and Linda Brown be authorized to attend the Closed Meeting with respect to Item 7.1.

    That with respect to Report ECC2022-0900, the following be approved:

    That the Event Centre Committee recommend that Council:

    1. Adopt the recommendations contained in Confidential Report EC2022-0900; 
    2. Direct that this report, Attachments 2, 3, and 4, the Confidential presentation, and Closed Meeting discussions remain confidential pursuant to Sections 16 (Disclosure harmful to business interests of a third party), 24 (Advice from officials), and 25 (Disclosure harmful to economic and other interests of a public body) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, to be reviewed by 2023 December 31; and

      And further, that the Event Centre Committee forward Report ECC2022-0900 to a Combined Meeting of Council as an Item of Confidential Urgent Business.
